PROCESSING TIME

Each piece of Stray Jewelry is handmade, often to order. I try to ship pieces within 1-2 weeks of order. Depending on timing and the materials required, pieces can take up to 4 weeks to process and ship. If you are hoping to get your jewelry by a certain date, please email me at strayjewelrydesign@gmail.com and I will do my best to accommodate.

Thank you for being patient while I hand craft your jewelry.

REPAIRS

Well loved and worn jewelry can incur damages from time to time. If your jewelry is in need of a repair, please contact me and I will do my best to help you get your jewelry back in shape. I offer free repairs up to a year after purchase for the basics- chain repair, reshaping a ring, etc.

After a year, or if the repair is more extensive, costs will be determined on a case by case basis. I cannot repair a chipped, scratched or broken stone, so take care of your gemstone jewelry!

I can often size a ring up a half or whole size fairly easily. Depending on the ring, it might be more complicated, or not doable to size a ring down. So please be sure to order the correct ring size! See my ring sizing tips here.

I do not repair any jewelry that I did not make.

RING SIZING

Ring sizing can be tricky, and resizing a ring with a stone often risks damage to the stone, so it's important to get the size right from the start. There are many ring sizing hacks, but in my opinion, they don't quite cut it, and leave a lot of room for error.  I always recommend popping into your local jewelry store to get sized professionally above all else. If that's not an option, you can order an affordable ring sizer online, like this one. These are a great investment, as your fingers are likely different sizes, and then you'll always be able to find your correct size and confidently order rings. For more sizing info and tips, read my ring sizing blog post.

JEWELRY CARE

If you treat your jewelry with care, it should last a lifetime. Silver and bronze do tarnish, but can be easily polished with a simple polishing cloth like this one. It's best to avoid moisture when possible. Always take your jewelry off when in the shower, bath, pool, hot tub or hot spring, or when doing strenuous activities.

Everyone reacts to metals differently. If you bought a piece of bronze jewelry, and it is discoloring your skin, you can paint a coat of clear nail polish on the part of the piece that comes into contact with your skin. The nail polish should create a thin barrier to protect your skin from any discoloring. If the chain is an issue, please contact me and we can always swap out a brass chain for a sterling silver one.

 CUSTOM WORK

I am not currently taking on custom work. I am, however, always open to customized work. If there's a piece that you love, but want the chain adjusted, or a different stone, or perhaps a different metal, please feel free to reach out. I am always happy to discuss options and pricing with you. Just click here to contact me.
